4、 Application of helium
Helium is widely used in military, scientific research, petrochemical, refrigeration, medical, semiconductor, pipeline leak detection, superconducting experiment, metal manufacturing
Deep sea diving, high-precision welding, optoelectronic product production, etc. Liquid helium is used as superconducting magnet of nuclear magnetic resonance imaging instrument.
5、 Precautions
Helium is a colorless, tasteless, non-toxic and non combustible high pressure gas stored in gas cylinders, and the pressure is usually 13MPa
YQY-12 or 152IN-125 and other pressure reducers shall be used after decompression. Soap water shall be used to check the gas pipeline before use to ensure that helium does not leak and the workplace
Keep ventilation. When the oxygen content is lower than 19.5% due to the increase of helium content, the patient will first have rapid breathing, inattention and ataxia;
Followed by fatigue, restlessness, nausea, vomiting and coma. The residual pressure in each bottle of helium shall be kept at 0.3MPa when the tail gas is used,

Rough loading and unloading are strictly prohibited. For short distance moving helium steel cylinders, special trolley for steel cylinders shall be used. For long distance moving steel cylinders, dangerous goods transport vehicles shall be used.
There is a cylinder inspection time on the bottle neck of the cylinder, and the unqualified cylinder should be entrusted to a qualified pressure vessel supplier such as Philips Special Gas for inspection
Unit inspection. It is strictly prohibited to use expired cylinders. The temperature of liquid helium is - 268.9 ℃. Contact with skin can cause severe frostbite.
