Moisture is a condition for SF6 equipment to produce toxic substances. If the high-purity sulfur hexafluoride gas contains more than the specified moisture, when its humidity changes, it may condense on the solid insulation surface to make the surface become damp, and then the surface discharge voltage of the equipment will drop significantly. The low fluoride compound gas generated by SF6 gas decomposition under the action of arc and corona will not generate SO2, HF and other harmful substances if there is no water molecule, thus avoiding equipment corrosion caused by them. Therefore, when SF6 equipment is filled with gas, strict measures must be taken to prevent water from entering.
Before starting the work, first measure the relative humidity of the ambient air around the high-purity sulfur hexafluoride site ≤ 80% (that is, the percentage value of the density ratio of water vapor in the air and saturated water vapor at the same temperature), which is the specific indication of water content in * * * air. If the measurement is unqualified, take measures or reselect the dry and sunny weather for filling.
In order to timely discharge and replace the leaked gas of sulfur hexafluoride at dawn, the main tip shall be filled and the ventilator shall be started. The SF6 content in the air shall not exceed 1000ppm. The inspection shall be carried out within a certain time after the work starts, and the inspection shall be carried out midway as the case may be. When the content of high-purity sulfur hexafluoride increases or exceeds the standard, the components shall be carefully checked immediately to find out the causes and eliminate them.
