The 6th generation low-temperature polysilicon production line of Tianma Microelectronics is moving in Wuhan
Published on:2016-11-15 Click:225Recently, the sixth generation low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) production line of Tianma Microelectronics, a 12 billion yuan project under AVIC, was built in Wuhan Optics Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park.
Tianma Microelectronics is the industry leader in small and medium-sized display panels and modules, while LTPS is a promising display technology in the global high-end smartphone and tablet market. At present, the LTPS panels used by China's smartphone manufacturers are mainly supplied by overseas manufacturers such as Japan and South Korea, which have long been technically constrained by others. The Tianma LTPS production line, which is expected to be put into operation at the end of 2016, will greatly enhance China's overall competitiveness in the strategic new display industry. At that time, China's high-end display technology and production capacity will be in the forefront of the world.
