吸入六氟化硫气体对人体的危害有哪些?

It is well known that inhalation of sulfur hexafluoride gas can cause sound changes. Many TV programs for show, related staff also claimed that sulfur hexafluoride is non-toxic,can be safely inhaled, but is it really so?

Sulfur hexafluoride gas is a kind of colorless,odorless,non-toxic,non-combustible and non-corrosive gaseous substance under normal conditions. It is a new generation of ultra-high voltage insulating medium material superior to air and oil.Sulfur hexafluoride has good insulation performance,is widely used in electrical industry, such as high voltage transformer, gas closed combination capacitor and so on.

It is important to note that although sulfur hexafluoride is not toxic,it is an asphyxiating gas!Because the product is not pure,it contains toxic gases such as highly toxic low fluoride sulfur and hydrogen fluoride, which cause harm to human body.

Sulfur hexafluoride invades the human body and has a strong stimulating effect on the respiratory system. When SF6 is inhaled in high concentrations,it can cause choking symptoms such as dyspnea, blue skin and mucous membranes, and systemic spasms. In severe cases,it can even lead to death by suffocation!

If excessive inhalation of sulfur hexafluoride gas causes adverse reactions,it should be quickly removed from the site to fresh air.Keep your airways open.If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. In case of respiratory arrest, immediately give artificial respiration and seek medical attention.
